Extensor Tendon: Zone by Zone
Each extensor tendon zone is uniquely different and has its own anatomy, evaluation, treatment and orthosis considerations. In this course we go through each zone, individually, and cover everything you need to know about treating a patient with extensor injuries.
Each chapter includes a thorough explanation of anatomy with a treatment guideline and recommendations & demonstrations on orthosis fabrication and wear/care schedule. Protocol progression is included in a week-by-week manner with notes on return to function and independence.
Anatomy is also covered with a dynamic 3D model to help clear up the confusing anatomy of the extensor mechanism.
Differential and related diagnoses are covered, including saddle syndrome and sagittal band syndrome. Printable treatment guideline handouts and anatomical drawings are also included in the ebook.
Thumb extensor tendons are included as well as these are significantly different from those of the other digits and require their own orthosis considerations and treatment guidelines.
Everything you need to guide your understanding, evaluation, and treatment for care of the patient with an extensor tendon injury is included in this course.
